What breed is the layer of this beautiful egg? I love your graceful pose in the picture, too.

Salmon Cabin

I'm not sure which hen laid this egg but my best guess is that it was my Plymouth Rock. Otherwise it was the Rhode Island Red. The speckles you see aren't typical though. This was something that seemed to happen to a couple of the first eggs. Now they are all a uniform light brown.

And that darling hand belongs to my son.
